Thanks a lot Benton! I remember these covers being a challenge--DC insisted on having most/all of the Superman figures be small in order to get lots of background in, making it harder to get the necessary "impact" you need for a cover.
That's a strange note from DC. But man, these ARE so eye-catching! Nice work.
Thanks Warren. I did my best within what they wanted. They were asking for lots of background because I was known for doing the Warners BG stuff, which is fair enough I guess. It's just tricky to make it have impact when the main character gets small.
