Hey...how very 'Moebius'. Cool!
Say what you like about the movie, but I've always liked it...some artists I know complained it would never be 'timeless' because of the music...but everything seems to go in cycles...the eighties tunes/influences are back!
And the design was great! A whole new world. Looks like it was a nutbuster to work on.
Oh there are lots of stories behind its creation...the movie itself as a whole, I don't care for, but there are lots of interesting pieces to look at.
I can see how it's the kind of thing which, if you watched it at a certain age, might really be a cult favourite for a person.
That's me. I was that age. 9.
I just watched it, recently. Well, not as good as I wished it were...but it's a balls-out crazy rock-out; and that's why I like it. No one would make a film like that now. Looks like everyone just flew at 'er...
Reckless.
But these designs are great! Again, so much behind the scenes...any good yarns you care to share?
Can't share 'em here..."these walls have ears, as the saying goes"...but will be glad to divulge over a beer sometime...
