Louis Cyr Graphic Novel

I recently completed work on a 30-page graphic novel for Scholastic Canada, aimed at grades 2-3. The project had begun as a regular children's book, but I was brought in to write and draw it as a comic. It's a docudrama-approach look at some highlights of the life of Louis Cyr, a French Canadian strongman from the end of the 19th century, who is still reputed to be the strongest man who ever lived...

Posted are page 6, then pages 10 and 11 as they'd appear in the book. Why those ones? No particular reason...

It was a very challenging project, notably because of the amount of research involved even to draw the simplest things (eg. what did a factory foreman wear in 1888?...etc etc)
